Meet my Pups!

I want you to get to know me, and in order to do so, you really have to get to know my love of dogs. Here is a picture from years ago with me and 2 of my beloved 4-legged friends. Simba, a Coton d' Tulear is on the left. He passed on July of 2017. He was not a very popular dog with my friends, as the breed is known for singular loyalty, and he was not friendly to people he didn’t know well, but he was popular with me. He is an ancient breed from Madagascar, and I did a lot of research to find a breed that was small, but that would be a great playmate for my Labrador retriever, Scarlet. Although he was small he could keep up with a man or woman on horseback, and at the time we kept horses and rode frequently.

On the right is the very best dog in the world, Ginger Rodgers, an Australian labradoodle. The history is a reputable poodle breeder and a reputable Labrador decided to cross breed for the perfect guide dog, and that took over 40 years. Ginger was a puppy in this shot, but will turn 10 in December of this year. In addition to non-shedding, she is just the best mannered pup ever. We love her dearly. Dogs make great companions in Summit County, CO. The joy of going out for a walk encourages you to get out a lot more. They love long hikes and make them even more joyful, whether you're walking alone or with your spouse. My husband Sal had 4 children when I married him 46 years ago & they are grown with children and even grandchildren of their own. They live far away, except for the oldest son Jim, who lives in Breck every summer. Jim loves our dog Sugar, a Havanese, and would like to talk us into giving her to him. But the dogs are our daily family, and are never in bad moods. Summit County, CO is surely a dog's paradise.
