The most snow I've seen in 40 years.

Wow! Never before in my 40 years of living here have I seen so much snow. If it keeps up through the rest of March and April, I think we can break the record of 1890! They didn’t have snowplows back then. Imagine how that must have felt, all this snow and no snowplows around until finally a snowplow on the front of a train, which is now on display on Boreas Pass Rd.

I have a closing today that cost the seller more than $6,000 in snow removal from the roofs, decks and walkways. The walkway looked almost like a tunnel, with 10 foot walls of snow. It will be interesting to see how bookings keep up with the extended ski season, now through May. It may be spring in the rest of the USA, but if mother nature stays true, we up here will have human claw marks on the inside of our windows by June. And how we all love our perfect but short summers. No place in the world better. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
